Soundscapes

“ Everything in life is vibration” Albert Einstein.

We are all vibratory beings and as research shows, everything in the universe is in a state of constant vibration, including our body.

Ancient mystery schools had vast knowledge of the ways sound could be used to heal, with references in 2,600 year-old Egyptian papyri to the ability of incantations to cure numerous ills. Having a deep understanding of rhythms, mantras and sound was essential for shamans and medicine men/women, AS WELL AS Celtic druids. Music as a metaphor for divine order is expressed within Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism and Gnosticism (Dewhurst-Maddock,1993).

Hopi Indians tell of Spider Woman, who sang the earth and all living things into creation. Mayans claim that humans were given life through the power of the word. In Polynesia and the Far East, gods and goddesses struck gongs or blew conch shells in order to create the world.

Cymatics, pioneered by Dr Hans Jenny, is the study of sound vibrations on objects. As sound waves flow through the body, the internal cells vibrate sympathetically to reinforce and restore cell organistaion. As we are primarily made up of water, this helps to conduct these vibrations and the overall effect “ is likened to a deep massage at the atomic and molecular level” (Dewhurst-Maddock, 1993,p.13). Dopamine, oxytocin, serotonin and endorphins are released as a result.

I have always incorporated sound healing with bowls into my classes and have facilitated the Peace Experience sound healing at the Crystal Castle and taken part in First Sun ceremonies at the Byron Bay lighthouse. Now, I am incorporating both vocals and the symphonic vibration of the gong into my soundscapes.

I’m really looking forward to sharing the joy and healing power of sound with you in a safe, supportive and inclusive space.

What we will do:

Fisrtly, we will start with some gentle stretching and breathing and then some toning with the harmonium to call in energy and set an intention together to connect us to ourselves and each other. After that, you get to relax and receive a nurturing sound bath of bowls, voice, flute and gong, allowing the healing vibrations to flow through your body. We will close with some more toning.

Sound good?

Then please book here as places are limited.

I’m also available for private events and one on on sessions.
What to bring:

  • Water
  • A cushion to sit on if needed
  • A mat or blanket to lie on and something warm to cover yourself with during the sound healing
  • Your positive energy!

Looking forward to holding and sharing space with you x

When I heard Virginia’s voice during a sacred chant many years ago, I still remember the goosebumps it gave me. Her resonance and sincerity brought a deep, beautiful offering to that evening, creating a profound experience.

Virginia has dedicated over 25 years to the path of sacred sound, voice, meditation, and group healing, and in that time, she has become a highly skilled and experienced facilitator. Her ability to create a safe and transformative space for others is a testament to her commitment and expertise.

A compassionate Wise Woman, Virginia’s presence radiates warmth, and I believe that participating in any of her groups would be an uplifting and deeply enriching experience. I highly recommend her work to anyone seeking to connect with their own inner peace, healing, and confidence through sound and community.
