Ceremonies

Ceremonies

I offer my services as a celebrant and facilitator of ritual-based, authentic and personal ceremonies. I bring my unique flavour to the occasion to make it an experience worth remembering.

Offerings:

Blessing ways for prospective mums to be.

In the last weeks of pregnancy, the pregnant mother is celebrated and welcomed to motherhood by her sisters, female relatives and friends with a blessing way. This is an old Native American Indian tradition that was considered sacred, spiritual and intimate.

This ceremony incorporates ritual, sharing, pampering, crafting and singing to welcome in the new baby and provide strength,

support and wisdom to prepare for the upcoming birth. A woman can have a blessing way with each pregnancy.

Usually, this ceremony takes place in the mother’s home or in a friend’s place. It can be facilitated outdoors also, weather permitting.

Marriages, commitment and renewal of vows ceremonies

I am currently training as a marriage celebrant and will offer marriage ceremonies in mid 2025.

End of Life Transition Ceremonies

To celebrate the life of a loved one who has passed away, ritual and ceremony can help the grieving process by bringing family, friends and community together to share this significant time.

I work closely with family, partners or friends to craft a ceremony that suits the occasion.

Please contact me, if you wish to discuss further details.

“I have been studying Kundalini Yoga, meditation, sound healing and chanting from Virginia Cook for the past 12 years in the Byron Shire and Nambucca Valley. Virginia brings deep knowledge and hard won wisdom to each and every one of her offerings. Her super power is her ability to clearly communicate using accessible language for all. Virginia has always honored each person’s individual journey, using humor and cracking a smile when perfectly appropriate. Virginia has always been patient and loving, creating a non-judgmental space for others to grow. Her use of ritual in her ceremonial offerings, makes each experience unique, personalised and creative. She has a natural ability to bring people together in a safe and inclusive way.”
