Seed Sound
SoundScapes. Ceremonies. Circles
About me
I live by the ocean on the north coast of NSW, on Gumbaynggirr country, surrounded by trees and wake to birdsong. Nature is my temple.
I am a wisdom keeper, dream walker, transformer and unifier. I work with ‘bij’ or seed sounds.
I have known sorrow and infinite Grace and Gratitude.
I am an alchemist of sound, a weaver of story, healer and holder of sacred space.
I am able to sit in stillness, drawing wisdom up from the Earth. I have the courage to walk through the shadow and sing the light in. I see in the darkness. My feet are on the ground.
I know who I am and who I am not.
As a mother of three adult children and now an elder, I have moved through many life transitions and these have shaped me into who I am now.
I have practiced deep spiritual enquiry for over 30 years.
I am a university educator, certified breath worker, Kundalini yoga and meditation teacher, women’s circle and ceremony facilitator and singer/sound healer.
I have incorporated music and singing into my life from childhood and have used crystal bowls and mantras in kirtans and soundscapes for over 15 years.
Sound and its ability to help heal the body, mind and spirit is one of my passions.
I also love to sit with other women to explore deep themes using psychosomatics, meditation, sharing, creative expression and journaling.
Rituals and marking significant life transitions are also hugely integral to me.
SEED stands for Sisters Empowering Each other’s Dreams.
A seed is the genesis of the plant/flower/tree it will become. From under the dark earth it emerges to instinctively reach for the light. Given nourishment, love and nurturing, the seed becomes a magnificent flower, like the lotus, or a towering tree with deep roots that create a strong foundation and draw in life.
We are that seed, yearning to grow.
With my three primary offerings, I aim to remind us all of who we truly are and live it.
I aim to tread lightly on mother earth, to practice gratitude, be of service and continue to be curious, to grow and evolve.
My Services
Soundscapes:
“ Everything in life is vibration” Albert Einstein.
We are all vibratory beings and as research shows, everything in the universe is in a state of constant vibration, including our body.
Ancient mystery schools had vast knowledge of the ways sound could be used to heal, with references in 2,600 year-old Egyptian papyri to the ability of incantations to cure numerous ills. Having a deep understanding of rhythms, mantras and sound was essential for shamans and medicine men/women, As well as Celtic druids.
Ceremonies
I offer my services as a celebrant and facilitator of ritual-based, authentic and personal ceremonies. I bring my unique flavour to the occasion to make it an experience worth remembering.
Offerings:
Blessing ways for prospective mums to be.
Women’s Circles
Women coming together to support, witness and truly listen to other women is an act of radical subversiveness in our modern patriarchy, where we are encouraged to compete, compare and criticise our sisters, so that we are less threatening to the status quo.
My circles are underpinned with the theme of ‘soul retrival’ – reclaiming the parts of ourselves that we have rejected, run from, repressed or played out in destructive ways.
